So you are interested in coming to study at Central Greenwich College. How do I enrol?
Registration
Registration is the pre-requisite for access to facilities provided by the college; students who do not register are not able to make use of these facilities or obtain a Student card. Please be sure that you have read and understood all of the college entry requirements before you apply.
The application procedure is as follows
- Choose your course
- Complete the application form (For English courses click here, all other courses click here)
- Submit with relevant documents
- Submit your admission fee (See Payment Method and Policies)
- Receive your letter of acceptance
- Submit your tuition fees (See Payment Method and Policies)
- Receive your college letters
- Apply for your visa
- Arrive in the UK
- Begin your studies
Once the tuition fees have been received you will receive all necessary student letters, these will be required by various authorities and should be kept safely – please do not lose them.
Entry Requirements
Your entry requirements will depend upon the course for which you have applied, so please check individual course requirements. The student must submit to the college details of their academic achievements to date so that we can ascertain that the entry requirements have been met.
This should be done on the application form, and by sending certified copies of original certificates to us for assessment. Please be aware that you will need to produce the original certificates upon arrival prior to the commencement of your course, failure to do so will result in us regarding the documentation as false.
The college also welcomes applications from individuals with appropriate professional experience, and these applicants should supply us with two verifiable professional references which you must retain to produce upon you arrival. Failure to do so will result in us regarding the documentation as false. The college operates an equal opportunities policy for actual and potential students.
As an Adult/Further education College, 17 years is the minimum age for admission.
There is no upper age limit for admission

English Language requirements
With the exception of the English courses, you must be competent in both spoken and written English before joining a degree course at CGC otherwise you will be unable to fully understand and follow your course. Before commencing a course, you may be asked for proof of your English ability. This is requested in the form of an English Language test such as IELTS or TOEFL, which will also help you identify your strengths and weaknesses.
The College runs intensive courses for students of varying levels of proficiency.

The minimum recommended score for entry to the College is IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL paper 513 unless you are enrolled on an English course or otherwise stated in the course material.

Please note: Students that do not meet the recommended English level for entry, may in some circumstances, be offered extra English tuition at the college, and for this an extra 3 -6 months needs to be added to your course duration. Students who qualify for this are usually have a minimum of IELTS 5.0. Less than this and the College will request you to do an English course prior to accepting your application.
